The adorable little neighborhood of North Park, San Diego has been blowing up all over Instagram lately and it's not hard to see why. The streets are painted those pastel colors we love, the walls are filled with urban succulent gardens and the matcha is oh-so-trendy. During our afternoon out-and-about we ate tacos à la lucha libre style, sipped green matcha latte and window shopped boutiques. Read on to see North Park's top spots and begin planning your visit to one of San Diego's favorite neighborhoods.
The Cutest Little Shops in North Park
Pigment - I pretty much fell in love with this shop the second I walked through the door. It's got those modern feminine vibes going strong with adorable succulent terrariums everywhere. The building your own terrarium bar has everything you could possibly need to create your own little plant paradise.
Artelexia - If you love Frida's style then you've gotta check out this spot. Add a touch of colorful Mexican flare to your home and wardrobe with handcrafted imported goods.
The Fresh Yard - Pick up urban styled North Beach swag for the legit cool men in your life.
Mimi & Red - For the boho chick, this trendy clothing boutique has all those hippie-chic vibes.
Thrift Trader - You all know I love my thrift stores and this spot offers a huge selection of thrifted clothing and goods.
Hunt & Gather - Curated vintage and eclectic clothing and goods.
Love and Aesthetics - Take a walk on the darker side with this modern gentleman meets gothic love story themed shop.
Eat and Drink Your Way Through North Park
Holy Matcha - As you can see from all the snapshots taken at this little tea shop, it is cute as a button and VERY popular with bloggers. Order your matcha with avocado toast for a very green healthy breakfast.
Lucha Libre Tacos - This Mexican wrestling themed joint is a feast for the eyes as well as the belly. The menu is a steal of a deal, for less than $5 my tummy was so full from my giant cheese and steak taco. When you snack on your chips don't skimp on the cilantro cream sauce at the salsa bar, it's amazing! Viva "Nacho Libre!"
Encontro - Craving an artesian salad at 10pm? Best spot for late night healthy grub after a long day at the beach.
Hammond's Gourmet Ice Cream - After you've gotten your caffeine fix at Holy Matcha you can mosey across the street and indulge your sweet tooth. Honey lavender ice cream anyone?
The Smoking Goat - Feeling fancy? Have a romantic date night with French and American fusion fare. Try the signature octopus dish!
Tribute Pizza - Enjoy a wood-fired pizza in a modern and bright space with high ceilings and colorful accents.
My California Girl Style x Tobi
After moving to San Diego from San Francisco we've had so much fun exploring this city and discovering our new favorite hangout spots. One of the best perks of moving to Southern California is that it is finally warm enough to wear all these cute little mini dresses! For our afternoon day date in North Park I wore the Addy Rose Lace Up Dress from Tobi paired with my vintage straw mini tote and thrifted wedges. I loved the boho style of this dress with all the feminine touches. And I especially loved that I found a wall to match my outfit! I can't lie, pastel murals are like candy for bloggers.
