Blogtober is a content creating challenge in which a blogger publishes a new blog post and social media posts every day in the month of October. Not only is it a great way to pump out crucial content during a peak season, it’s also a really fun way to enjoy everything the fall season has to offer.

Why should you participate in Blogtober?

One of the biggest challenges bloggers face is keeping up with a consistent publishing schedule. Consistency is one of the main keys to seeing organic growth in traffic and audience. Blogging challenges such Blogtober and Blogmas can help keep content creators motivated and inspired during peak seasons such as autumn and the holidays.

Blogtober is also a great way to connect with other content creators and collaborate on projects together. You’ll keep each other inspired and on-track to reach your blogging goals.

How to Have a Successful Blogtober

The key to creating 31 days worth of high-quality original content is to plan ahead. I personally begin in late August or early September by brainstorming fall-themed topics and concepts. Around this time I also start creating new photography, doing research and taking notes.

For your written copy, you need to set time aside in your schedule to write a minimum of 300 words for each blog post. You should also be doing SEO research for keyword opportunities so that your work will perform well in Google search engines.

In some cases you may be able to re-purpose content such as photography and creating round-up posts with previously published content.

In this blog post you’ll find over 50 content ideas covering popular niches such as lifestyle, food and recipes, fashion, travel, home decor and interior design, and more. Many of these ideas spill into November, Thanksgiving and the holidays - so you’ll be covered for the rest of the year.
