Ginger and Citrus Spritzer Mocktail with Beet Juice

Pinterest just recently announced that one of the top trends for the year is the new "mocktail." Which basically means that we love all the flavors and fizz of cocktails, we are just ditching the booze and opting for healthier options.

I love this Ginger and Citrus Spritzer with Beet Juice recipe because it's so simple to make but is full of dynamic flavors. The combo of the citrus and ginger really compliment the rich and earthy taste of the beets and it feel fresh and light.

This beverage is perfect for serving at pretty much any gathering with friends and family. Mocktails are especially great from baby showers because then the mama-to-be can enjoy a glass too!

Ginger and Citrus Spritzer with Beet Juice Recipe

Ingredients:

Directions:

It's super simple - Mix all the ingredients together in a large pitcher and stir. Chill in the refrigerator for an hour before serving. If possible, use an airtight cover on the container to keep the carbonation from the ginger ale.

Martha Steward Goals for Hosting - Cut up some citrus fruits like oranges and limes and put them into the pitcher. You can also garnish the serving mason jars with orange or lime slices too. Fancy!

Optional - To create a sangria-ish mocktail, you can add a couple cups of chopped fruit and leave it overnight to marinate in the refrigerator.

*These quantities will serve about 8 people.
