Make way, make way! The queen of high lifestyle living is here!
I cannot even begin to express my excitement when I discovered that Gwyneth Paltrow was opening up Goop MRKT, a pop-up shop in downtown San Francisco for the month of May. I have been a longtime fan of Goop and in my fantasy world I image that my blog is my own little mini version of Goop. While I am a huge fan of Gwyneth, we live very different types of lives. For example she is a big star who wears haute couture and I am a simple gal who wears mostly thrift and vintage. But we have one very strong common thread, we both believe in consuming pure clean foods and products. I strongly admire her philosophy of living and making it accessible to us everyday folks. Encompassing everything from fashion to food, I strongly believe in quality over quantity and making conscious decisions about how and what we consume.
Our goop MRKT spaces are a fully-shoppable, physical expression of the brand, touching on everything from home, to fashion, to health and wellness, to clean beauty. - Goop
She kicked off the opening of Goop MRKT with a book signing of her latest cookbook It's All Easy and Delicious. It was very exciting for little fashion dreamers like myself to get the opportunity to meet her in person. Just as you would expect, she made a grand entrance, but in the same breath was ever so gracious and took the time to thank us for coming out. She was all smiles and of course her outfit was on point and ever so chic with a playful accent of electric blue booties.
The Goop MRKT pop-up shop was hosted in the architecturally stunning Frank Lloyd Wright building on Maiden Lane in San Francisco. The best way to describe the experience is to imagine the online world of Goop created as physical space where you can see and touch everything, complete with Gwyneth Paltrow herself. The shopable products ranged from beauty, cooking, fashion, jewelry and home decor. As you would expect, everything from the decor to the products was immaculately curated with a touch of minimalism. Plants and flowers were peppered through the event adding a soft contrast to the strong architectural features of the building.
It was an honor to meet the gorgeous Gwyneth and explore her world. I absolutely love my personalized cookbook and can't wait to get started on some of the recipes. If you are local in San Francisco I highly suggest stopping by the Goop MRKT and experiencing it for yourself!
